What does your new normal look like; Do you STAY FULL OF GOD?

Teaching Pastor Andrew Womack uses the biblical scriptures surrounding Romans 1:21, below, to teach Christians how to "stay full of God".

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of  the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

There are 4 ways, recommend by preacher Andrew Wommack, to stay full of God:

     1.  Glorify God in speech & behavior and magnify Him over your problem(s).

     2. Be thankful to God by showing an attitude of humility in all you do.

     3. Think on Godly knowledge to frame thoughts in your imagination.

     4. Maintain a pure heart, devoted to your commitment to Christ,

as shown by swift, confident decisions that align with actions taken that mimic Godly principles.

 1. Making the choice to stay full of God is like filling up a balloon with air and tying the knot. What do you do to fill       up your balloon and what do you do to make sure your balloon doesn't shrink or pop? Before answering, ask          yourself, "Am I experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:6-8)? If not, ask yourself      (not God), why not?

2. What do you do when you come across a truth in the Bible that you were not aware of and/or you disagree             with? Consider whether or not you have a "hardened heart" concerning a truth in God's Word, Matthew 13:14-15.

3. If you doubt that God will act for YOU in accordance to His Word, but believe He will do it for everyone else,          is an unbalanced self-image blocking the Spirit of Love from being expressed in your life?

  • How can you balance your self-concept so that your vision isn't blurred by being too boastful or too insecure?

  • How often do you remind yourself that God loves?

4. How do you stay full of God in your new normal? Describe it in terms of your psycho-social balance; the art of         both being and doing love. See Romans 12:1-21 for an example of how you can achieve Christian cognitive               consistency in spirit, soul and body.

  • What specific things are you doing to maintain a daily relationship with the Lord?

  • Where does you strength come from so that when you ask, you can persist in showing love?

5. The expression of a holy love is intentional. What will you do differently to show love to God, others, and                   yourself?

  • Consider how feedback from the people in your community may influence your actions.

  • Have you surrounded yourself with like-minded people that are showing their gratitude to God (motivating you to stay full of God or are you still concerned with your public reputation)?

6. Read the "Stay Strong" article in the "Still Anxious?" tab. Have you incorporated Christlike habits into your new        normal routine and can you feel the peace and joy of your Christian, cognitively consistent faith?

7. God is love. Review the "Inspirational Christian Songs ..." found in the Resources tab.
